Founded in 2003 by two Deaf entrepreneurs, Nikki Stratton and Marilyn Willrich, Zebra Uno has continued to grow and currently provides both Media and Interpreting services for clients all over the UK.

Both Zebra Uno’s Directors, Nikki Stratton and Marilyn Willrich, co-founded Zebra Uno Limited in 2003. It is a successful media company whose core focus is digital media and communication, and the organisation enjoys close links with the Deaf Community. They are committed to developing people’s skills through delivering both hands-on and theory-based media and deaf awareness training and consultation across the UK. Nikki and Marilyn’s passion for the Deaf community led them to establish Zebra Access in 2005, a charity whose vision is to have ‘communities without barriers’ for deaf people (www.zebra-access.com). In 2006, Nikki and Marilyn co-founded Deaffest, the UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival which is now recognised globally. Deaffest is the UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival, which celebrates the talents of deaf filmmakers and artists from all over the world (www.deaffest.co.uk).
Marilyn has worked as a Sign Language Trainer and Assessor across the UK over the last 25 years. However, that’s not all; Marilyn is a filmmaker and has directed and produced many films and documentaries and she is also an award-winning actress.
Nikki is also recognised for her numerous appearances on television and is well-known for her role as an award-winning Presenter for Channel 4’s Vee TV programme, as well as appearing as an In-Vision Signer for a wide range of channels including BBC One and Two, Cartoon Network’s Powerpuff Girls series and CBeebies. Nikki previously translated and performed songs in British Sign Language which were aired on NME’s Bravo channel and was recognised as a Gold Winner at the Promax Awards in 2002. Since 2003 Nikki has been involved with several projects related to directing as well as presenting and leading translation film projects.
Zebra Uno has a great team with talents and skills to meet your needs. Our team is committed to producing and maintaining a high standard of quality work, in both Media and Communication.
